MICHO REVEALS NOT ALL FOREIGN BASED PLAYERS WHO PARTICIPATED IN FRIENDLIES WILL NOT BE CALLED FOR AFCON QUALIFIERS BASED ON THEIR PERFOMANCE

CHIPOLOPOLO coach Milutin Sredojevic says not all foreign-based players who participated in the international friendly games will be selected for the back-to-back AFCON qualifiers against Botswana.Micho says this will be done in order to promote transparency and accountability in the squad.

He said the focus of the technical bench is to organise a side that will bring the required result for the national team.The Chipolopolo trainer, who was speaking during a press briefing in Lusaka on Wednesday also said players who do not follow orders when called for national duty will be dropped.Micho said the team will enter camp early so that the players can commence preparations for the upcoming engagements.

The Serbian has also clarified that he has no differences with any player in the national team.He said defender Kabaso Chongo was dismissed from the team on mutual grounds unlike rumors that spread, saying it was due to indiscipline.

Meanwhile, Micho has thanked both the local and foreign based players for representing the country well in the games against Malawi, Kenya and South Africa.
