Edith Nawakwi seems to have forgotten that she was the Finance Minister during the privatization era.
At the same time HH was just a 29 year old valuations employee of a private consulting firm contracted by government to value assets, but not to sale them.
The actual selling was done by the Zambia Privatization Agency which was reporting to Ministry of Finance where Nawakwi was minister.
So which of these two was in a position to sell government assets and sign on sale documents?
These things are common sense, there’s a reason why Katele Kalumba, William Hartington, Miyanda and others who were ministers in the MMD Government of FTJ are quiet because it’s their cabinet that approved the sales of national assets and Nawakwi was a key part of that cabinet.
The Chairman of Zambia Privatization Agency Mr Valentine Chitalu is still alive today. Go and ask him and he will tell you the truth on who sold what.
