The case in which UPND Deputy Secretary General Patrick Mucheleka and three others have been charged with aggravated robbery and malicious damage comes up in the Kasama Magistrate Court this morning at 09:00hrs for mention and possible instructions from the DPP.
The four who were arrested during the Lukashya by-election have remained at Milima state correctional facility since one of the charges faced is non-bailable and is only triable at the High Court.
10 other UPND members are also expected to appear before the same court facing various charges ranging from assault likely to cause the breach of the peace and are currently out on bail.
One UPND youth Kelvin Bwalya has however remained detained at Kasama Central Police station without a charge since September 14th,2020.
